As the team returned to the locker room after losing the game 28-16, at least five players discovered their valuables, including gold and diamond chains, according to reporting from The Denver Post, had been taken. While authorities in Pasadena confirmed to KTLA that the students are from Beaumont High School, they would not confirm other media reports that it was four “recruits on an official visit to UCLA for the game.” Asked for comment, officials at the Beaumont Unified School District also declined to name the number of students or say if they were on an official visit to the university, but r...Sale closed in Milpitas: $2.5 million for a four-bedroom home

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Wil Lutz got a do-over and kicked a 36-yard field goal as time expired, and the Denver Broncos won their third straight by rallying for a 24-22 victory over the sloppy, turnover-prone Buffalo Bills on Monday night.Lutz got a second chance after he missed wide right with four seconds remaining from 41 yards, but the play was negated when Buffalo was flagged for having 12 players on the field. Lutz also overcame his own struggles in a game he missed an extra point by hitting the left upright, and was unable to get another extra-point attempt off when holder Riley Dixon bobbled the snap. After Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen scampered in from 6 yards to give the Bills their first and only lead, Russell Wilson oversaw a 10-play, 57-yard drive to set up Lutz’s field goal. The key play of the drive came on third down and 10 from Buffalo’s 45 when Wilson — facing an all-out blitz — lobbed a pass deep over the middle intended for Jerry Jeudy, who was clearly interfer...DC creates new pathway from HBCUs to local government

Students in Arlington, Virginia, will have a number of traditional snow days before they have to log on for virtual classes this winter, Superintendent Francisco Durán said at last Thursday’s school board meeting. If a weather event prompts school to close, Durán said the school system will fully close for up to 13 days. The number is based on the school year’s calendar, which has to provide students with 180 days or 990 hours of class time to be in compliance with Virginia law.If the county uses each of those 13 days, Arlington Public Schools would then turn to distance learning to meet the annual learning requirements, Durán said. To avoid virtual learning once all of the traditional snow days are used, Durán said the county would have to consider extending the school year or disrupting spring break.“Our plan is to not disrupt the spring break or extend the school year,” Durán said Thursday. “If we go more than 13, we would, on those days, revert to distance learning. And obviously...Zach Edey and Braden Smith help No. 2 Purdue pass first real test with 83-71 win over Xavier

They also snapped a five-game losing streak in the series by beating the Musketeers for the first time since December 2001. The schools hadn’t met since 2012....Latest news
